The audio tour with historical and literary texts as well as current and earlier recordings introduces the past and present of Riebeckstraße 63 in Leipzig-Thonberg. The municipal forced labor facility at St. Georg was built here in 1892. This institution and its successor institutions served the marginalization and exclusion, up to the persecution and extermination of people: Among other things, there was a so-called homeless asylum during the Weimar Republic, a transit camp and a police prison in the GDR, a venereological station Social home and a psychiatric ward. The initiative group Riebeckstraße 63 is committed to creating a living place of remembrance at this location. This audio tour contributes to this.
